Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its relatively modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. robotic hoovers Robot Vacuum Mops can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.
Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
